Holderman Multimedia proposed the idea of GOLCAM to Unionistas de Salamanca CF, with the aim to create a stronger social media presence for the team online and enhance the fan experience for home games in the Primera RFEF.

GOLCAM features strategically placed action cameras and a manually operated camera that is mobile to capture the game’s most vivid images and on the field sounds. This innovative video series showcases key plays, slow-motion replays, fan reactions, and player celebrations, elevating it beyond standard game highlights.

Four seasons post-launch and with more than 60 videos, GOLCAM continues to be a fan favorite, with each video garnering 10K to 50K views on social media including the @UnionistasCF's X (Twitter) account, which is among the league’s most popular. In fact, in January of 2024 the club reached 24.2 million views and ranked ninth in total views for all Spanish soccer leagues on X (Twitter).

MOTION GRAPHICS

COMPELLING GRAPHIC DESIGN

In the tradition of previous seasons, Holderman Multimedia played a pivotal role in actualizing the Unionistas CF New Member Campaign by creating captivating campaign videos, thrilling game day social media graphics, and entertaining scoreboard motion graphics.

The collaboration during the 2023-2024 season was no different and upon the selection of the campaign slogan, "Contigo nos pasamos el juego" (With you we will beat the game), a strategic brand approach emerged.

The development of video game-themed assets were designed to reinforce the slogan's impact and engage the coveted target demographic of individuals aged 25 and under to solidify the existing fanbase of the club.

FANTASTIC FINISH

The 2023-2024 Unionistas racing themed campaign video captured the adrenaline rush of each game against great and historic rivals and promised the passionate excitement surrounding the prestigious Copa del Rey Tournament that awaited new members if they joined the fan owned club.

PLAYER BATTLES

Setting the stage for every GOLCAM Video and Scoreboard on game day, the introduction showcased a energetic "Street Fighter" scene featuring two real players from each team. This engaging spectacle not only grabbed attention, but created an enjoyable immediate connection between the players and audience.

SCI-FI FIGHTERS

Each Unionista player became the star of a “Space Invader” themed video game cover that displayed their photo, name, number, campaign slogan, and a nod to Fútbol Popular with its game rating. These social media substitution notifications were posted on X (Twitter) during game play, green for “in” and red for “out,” and not only served to reinforce the target audience strategy, but were truly one of a kind.

GOL UNIONISTAS!

The entire squad of 22 Unionistas players took center stage for their unique goal celebrations that featured a POV style introduction inspired by the previously mentioned "Space Invader" themed video game. These celebratory moments were often the videos with the most interactions and engagement on X (Twitter) during each game.

SCOREBOARD MOTION GRAPHICS

With the strategy to craft an experience that resonated with fans beyond the targeted age demographic for the member campaign, Holderman Multimedia endeavored to evoke a sense of nostalgia for the iconic retro-styled "Nintendo" video games of his youth. These scoreboard graphics for substitutions, yellow cards, red cards, and extended game time not only pay homage to the classic 8-bit era, but also complete the overarching video game theme as well as enhance the entire visual experience for fans young or old.
